Biocon shares gain 0.84% as Sensex rises

Shares of the Ltd. traded at Rs 362.25 on BSE at 01:29PM (IST) on Tuesday, up 0.84 per cent. The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 314.9 and a high of Rs 487.7.

Earlier in the day, the stock saw a gap up opening.

At the prevailing price, the stock traded at 67.65 times its trailing 12-month EPS of Rs 5.37 per share and 6.51 times its book value, as per BSE data.

A total of 33,845 shares changed hands on the counter till 01:29PM (IST). The stock commands a market value of Rs 43599.79 crore and is part of the Pharma - Indian industry.

The scrip has been an underperformer , down 19.59 per cent in the past one year in comparison with a 30.96 per cent gain in Sensex.

During the day, the stock moved between Rs 364.8 and Rs 357.8.

Promoter/FII Holding
Promoters held 39.73 per cent in the company as of 30-Sep-2021. FII and MF ownership in Biocon Ltd. stood at 15.74 per cent and 2.58 per cent, respectively.
