Imphal, December 06 2021: Elucidating the difficulty of running a coalition Government, Chief Minister N Biren has called upon the people to elect a BJP exclusive Govern-ment in the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election.

Addressing an election rally held at N Tomchou Public Ground, Mayang Imphal Thana Awang Leikai today under the aegis of BJP Mayang Imphal Mandal, N Biren said that BJP has been compelled to start its election campaign early because of the difficulties faced in running a coalition Government.

Being a coalition, the Government faced a hard time in replying to queries raised by Opposition Members during State Assembly sessions, the Chief Minister said.

Many Cabinet Ministers had to be called repeatedly over phone when Cabinet meetings were held at hill district headquarters under the Go to Hills mission, Biren confided.

He then called upon the gathering to elect a BJP exclusive Government in order to avoid such difficulties in the next term.

The Chief Minister also released a calendar which highlights development works undertaken by his Government.

Hailing the people of Mayang Imphal AC, Biren categorically stated that politicians who only think for themselves are not welcomed.

Politicians who sincerely think for the welfare of the State and the masses should be elected, Biren said.

He then asserted that Deputy Speaker K Robin-dro who represents Mayang Imphal AC is a qualified representative.

Saying that the post given to K Robindro is a prestigious one, Biren urged the people to support BJP and ensure that the saffron party gets absolute majority.

Claiming that maximum efforts are being invested to upgrade Mayai Lambi to the status of a double-lane highway at the cost of Rs 500 crore, the Chief Minister stated that construction of Makru Bridge has been completed and the bridge has been already commissioned.

Informing that construction of Barak Bridge is also complete, he urged all the people to work collectively and ensure that there is peace and speedy development in the State.

BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda remarked that the works done by K Robindro in Mayang Imphal AC were quite congruous with the philosophy of BJP.

K Robindro was giving pension to the most underprivileged section of the society and this act was quite congruous with the ideology and philosophy of BJP, Sharda said.

In his speech, K Robindro sought attention of the Chief Minister to upgrade Pravabati College as a full fledged Government College and also to expand Mayai Lambi.

Calling upon all the people of Mayang Imphal AC to live in peace and harmony, Robindro pledged that he would never let down people's trust and confidence.

He announced that a youth rally would be taken out throughout Mayang Imphal AC after December 15.Many BJP Ministers and MLAs also attended the political conference.
