The average in-service repair costs per vehicle for 356 nameplates from 35 brands are now available to Automotive News readers through an exclusive arrangement with We Predict.
The Ann Arbor, Mich., predictive analytics company compiles the data from service records for 2017-20 model year vehicles after 12 months on the road. The figures comprise warranty and service costs (excluding collision work), thereby reflecting money spent by owners and automakers.
The figures provide automakers and dealers a measure to benchmark the performance of their vehicles vs. that of rivals. Consumers now have another factor to consider as they make their buying decisions.
