Ludhiana, December 4

Vandana and Anshika in the girls’ U-16 and 19 categories while Harshit and Kishan Lal Sonkar in the boys’ U-16 and 19 sections, respectively, were adjudged the best athletes in the annual sports meet of SDP Schools, held on Saturday.

A large number of students representing SDP Senior Secondary School, Hazuri Road, SDP Senior Secondary School, Basti Jodhewal, and OP Gupta Model Senior Secondary School, Quilla Mohalla, took part in different events and funs games during the meet.

Sanjeev Gupta, general secretary, SDP Sabha, declared the meet open. Lakhvir Singh, District Education Officer (Secondary), was the chief guest at the closing ceremony while Balraj Kumar Bhasin, president, SDP Sabha, and institutions presided over the prize distribution function.—OC
