Premier Soccer League (PSL) prosecutor Nande Becker has confirmed he resigned from his position at the end of November.
The prosecutor made the revelation to iDiski Times but when pressed on the matter, did not divulge the reason for his surprise departure.
Becker has presided over several high-profile disciplinary cases in recent years, chief amongst them the lengthy battle between Royal AM and PSL ahead of the 2021-22 DStv Premiership campaign.
In fact, the legal challenges launched by promotion-chasing teams has become somewhat of an expected feature every off-season.
Confirming his exit, Becker told iDiski Times: "I resigned with effect [on] 30 November 2021."
The league's governing body, the PSL, has yet to comment on Becker's departure despite the prosecutor vacating the role five days ago.
