Longsai VA appeals for repairing road

Imphal, December 04 2021: Longsai (Nungsai) Village Authority (LVA), Noney district has urged department concerned to urgently repair the Khoupum to Rengpahg section of Tongjeimaril, Old Cachar Road.

In a release, Longsai VA chairman Kabidon Gonmei stated that Khoupum to Rengpang stretch of the Old Cachar Road is witnessing frequent accidents with at-least seven persons losing their lives till date, as the road is over grown with thick grasses and bushes which the passing vehicle find difficult to navigate.

While citing prolonged negligence of road by the government as the primary factor for citizens injured or killed in accident, the VA reiterated its appeal to the department concerned to take up necessary action.
