Imphal, December 03 2021: Intending candidate in Keishamthong assembly constituency Laishom Santosh (Bony), who is also in the race for BJP ticket, distributed e-shram cards and CMHT cards to several beneficiaries of Keishamthong AC on Friday.

A total of 150 e-shram cards were distributed during the function held at his Keishamthong Laishom Leirak residence.

At the event, Santosh said that some individuals are depriving the public of benefits provided under different schemes.

Despite being a constituency located in the heart of Imphal city, there are still several manual labourers in Keishamthong AC.

The Central government is implementing several schemes which provide financial support, social security and insurance to labourers and it is unfortunate that the public are being kept deprived of these benefits till date.

No politicians should play such politics of denying benefits of the poor people, he said.

Santosh further said that over 500 labourers of the constituency have been registered for e-shram card and he will continue to help others in getting the registration done.
