MLA Haupu assures uplift of border village

CCpur, December 02 2021: Singhat (Singngat) MLA GS Haupu, who is chairman of MANIREDA and MTDC, inaugurated the L Khaukual village community hall on Thursday.
The community hall was constructed under the Border Area Development fund.
The inaugural event was attended leaders of KSO San gaikot area, Sholam Haopi Area Chiefs' Association, SHACA and others.
Speaking on the occasion, village chief L Haokhopao declared that name of L Khaukual had been rechristened Hemjang village while SHACA representatives appreciated the MLA for bringing government schemes for the benefit of the villagers They also stated that any government schemes undertaken in the SHACA area are highly appreciated as the area is the last Indian village bordering Myanmar.
GS Haupu thanked all the eight village chiefs for their participation at the inaugural function.
He also thanked the village chief (L Haokhopao) for implementing the scheme by constructing the community hall.
The MLA said that having a community hall in the village after many years was commendable and expressed hope that the villagers would make purposeful use of the same.
Haupu also assured of more schemes in the village and its surrounding areas while disclosing about difficulty in getting sufficient BADP funds.
