Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 111.03 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 7.21 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 5.97 crore), Indian Energy Exchg(numbers of share traded: 5.93 crore), Tata Power(numbers of share traded: 4.81 crore), Reliance Comm(numbers of share traded: 4.48 crore), JP Associates(numbers of share traded: 4.33 crore), Ibull Housing Fin(numbers of share traded: 4.30 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 4.00 crore) and SAIL(numbers of share traded: 3.94 crore) emerged top gainers in Friday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 204.95 points down at 17196.7, while BSE Sensex ended down 764.83 points at 57696.46.

On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 3.92 per cent), Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 3.00 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 2.55 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 2.23 per cent) and Asian Paints Ltd.(down 2.21 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
