Sikko Industries(down 3.69%), National Fertilizer(down 1.94%), Madras Fertlizers(down 1.75%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 1.60%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 1.35%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 1.22%), G S F C(down 1.21%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 0.57%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.14%) and Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.07%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 234.75 points up at 17401.65, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 776.5 points at 58461.29.
Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 4.4%), HDFC(up 3.85%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 3.52%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 2.8%), Tata Steel(up 2.76%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 2.74%), Tech Mahindra(up 2.65%), Grasim Industries(up 2.63%), Indian Oil Corporation(up 2.51%) and Bajaj Auto(up 2.43%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Cipla(down 0.74%), ICICI Bank(down 0.73%) and Axis Bank(down 0.52%) closed in the red.
