Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Tata Power(Rs. 1768.83 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1581.10 crore), RIL(Rs. 1457.35 crore), HDFC(Rs. 1273.67 crore), BSE(Rs. 1258.58 crore), Ibull Housing Fin(Rs. 1154.53 crore), TCS(Rs. 1139.54 crore), Vodafone Idea(Rs. 1116.48 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 1001.08 crore) and Tata Steel(Rs. 997.95 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Thursday's session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 234.75 points up at 17401.65, while BSE Sensex rose 776.5 points to 58461.29.
In the Nifty index, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 4.40 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(up 3.85 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 3.52 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 2.80 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd.(up 2.76 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Cipla Ltd.(down 0.74 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 0.73 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.52 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 0.01 per cent) and Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 0.06 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
