First Lady Jill Biden Reveals White House Christmas Decorations For 2021

Jill Biden has unveiled the gorgeous holiday decorations in the White House for 2021!

The First Lady of the United States shared the first look with her followers on social media, which included a peek at the Blue Room tree, and many other decorations throughout the household.

“Inspired by the acts of kindness and experiences that lifted our spirits this year, decorated rooms in the White House reflect the Gifts from the Heart that unite us all: faith, family, friendship, the arts, learning, nature, gratitude, service, community, peace, and unity,” Dr. Biden said of the inspiration behind the decor this year.

The 2021 White House holiday theme is “Gifts from the Heart.”

In addition, the White House reports that there are 41 trees, 10,000 ornaments, 300 candles, and 6,000 feet of ribbon to evoke feelings of unity and healing.

Each room highlights specific gifts like in the Vermeil Room, which celebration of “the gift of the visual arts.” There are paint cans dripping with primary-colored brushes, pencils, and flowers replace more expected wreaths and Pantone color chips were used in place of ornaments.

The China Room’s table is set “Nana style” as a homage to the President’s past family dinners, and the Green Room’s decor symbolizes “the gift of nature” with purple orchids, one of the president’s favorite plants.

A special item decorates the State Dining Room – six stockings for the Biden grandchildren.

A variety of interactive viewing experiences to check out the decorations will be launched on digital platforms, including Instagram, Google Maps Street View, Snapchat, and others that will allow the public to engage with the White House from home over the course of holidays.
