2nd phase of 'Loubuk Maikei Panglashi' launched at Heirok

Thoubal, November 29 2021: The second phase of Loubuk Maikei Panglashi was conducted on Sunday under the supervision of Heirok AC MLA, Dr Thokchom Radheshyam at Nongpok Sekmai Engkhol Lou.

The programme began with the sowing of seeds by Dr Th Radheshyam at Nongpok Sekmai Engkhol Lou.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Th Radheshyam stated that the Loubuk Maikei Panglashi mission was started to give economic stability to the farmers of Heirok AC.

"Under this mission, paddy fields will receive proper irrigation to help increase the harvest", he added.

The MLA also lauded the members of Nagar Panchayats, Municipal Councils, Gram Panchayats and Jilla Parishads for their collective efforts in conducting the event.

Dr Th Radheshyam further assured that he would allocate one-third of his Local Area Development Fund to agriculture related matters.

It may be noted that a large pond is under construction as part of the mission to provide water throughout the year to over 600 paris of agricultural land.
