Jan Jagran Abhiyan Public meeting; sit-in staged against price hike & inflation

Bpr/Kak, November 29 2021: As part of the ongoing Jan Jagran Abhiyan launched by the Indian National Congress, a public meeting was held on Monday at the residence of INC intending candidate from Kakching AC, Yengkhom Nilachandra.
The programme organised by Steering Committee of Yengkhom Nilachandra was attended by District Congress Committee Kakching president, Elangbam Manglem; Block Congress Committee Kakching president, Kshetrimayum Ibohal; Yengkhom Nilachandra; Kakching Municipal Council ex chairperson, Moirangthem Inakhunbi Devi; and NSUI Manipur State president, Md Kabir Ahamad as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Yengkhom Nilachandra stated that the people of the State have been suffering due to the inflation and price hike of essential commodities.
He also raised questions over the recent cases of arrest and detention of many individuals for allegedly expressing their dissent and opinion about inflation or the current Government.
It may be mentioned that a Jan Jagran Abhiyan rally was also conducted before the commencement of the public meeting.
Moreover, Bishnupur District Congress Committee on Sunday also staged a sit-in protest against inflation and price rise of essential commodities at Ngakchroupokpi Khwairakpam in Oinam AC.
The protest staged as part of the Jan Jagran Abhiyan was participated by Md Noor Rehman, president Bishnupur District Congress Committee; N Birababu, vice president BCC; L Lokendro Singh, president Nambol Block Congress Committee; N Ingocha Singh, vice president, Oinam Block Congress Committee; M Bhogendro Singh, treasurer Bishnupur Block Congress Committee; Kh Nando Singh, president Kishaan Cell Bishnupur District Congress Committee; N Bhagirat Singh, president Kumbi Block Congress Committee; Th Beikul Singh, secretary Administration Block Congress Committee; Th Ithoibi Devi, intending candidate Oinam AC; N Ibohal Singh, intending candidate Kumbi AC; and Th Surjaboro Singh, chairman United Front Manipur along with supporters of Congress party from the six constituencies of Bishnupur district.
