Buying a separate unit would be the preferred method here, but space won't allow that right now. I am going to have an "All in one" system for upper body, but need to add variety for leg day with limit space available.
It seems that almost all of these combos share the same issue - bottoming out the Hack Squat before hitting 90 degrees. Big problem IMO and I'm surprised no one has addressed it. I saw the Body Solid version does not bottom out, but it also has the smallest footplates it seems.
Other option would be a compact leg sled, but not sure how I feel about them.
Anyone found a unit that they like and enjoy?

Has anyone found a good Leg Press/Hack Combo?

It's largely a matter of perspective. The Bodycraft F660 is the smoothest residential unit I have used (also the only one with linear bearings at its price point AFAIK). Body Solid made a linear bearing version at some point, but I don't think you can buy it any longer. Also, the bearings were also garbage ($5/ea vs $150/ea for the ones on my Paramount, which should give you some idea of how awful they are) so there would be the added cost of replacing those straight away before they ruin the rods. The current Body Solid runs on rollers, which I found it to drag at heavier weights. Nonetheless, it's probably the most popular combo out there. Some guys will replace the footplate with a larger one because it is indeed quite small. The Tuff Stuff is similar. Speaking of Tuff Stuff though, their horizontal press looks kind of interesting. Perhaps check out Legend. I haven't used their machine, but everything they make is overbuilt and it runs on linear bearings so there's that. https://www.legendfitness.com/produc...hack-squat-pl/

That Legend one is beautiful, I would consider that except the width is going to be alot. It's almost 70" wide....... Should have mentioned size will come into play a bit. My friend has a BodySolid I'm going to go look at, but he mentioned the same thing you did about the smoothness.
The Bodycraft F660 is actually the most compact I found, but the videos I've seen show people bottom out the hack squat before even getting to parallel. Maybe you can work around that by building a 3-4" platform....but don't know how that would affect the top of the motion, i.e cutting it short and you hit the top before full extensions.6'1 - 240lbs

had the bodycraft for a few years. I liked it-good mid unit ( price has gone up alot though since I bought mine).
yes the hack bottoms out- but I also liked facing into the machine to do a sort of standing press.
If you have room ,money and muscle to help move it- I would get something like the legend. The body craft did have a nice footprint too and easy to assemble.
