Liton Das did all he could to keep Bangladesh in the game. Das scored a crucial 59 when wickets were tumbling at one end. Mehidy Hasan and Nurul Hasan tried building partnership with Das but Shaheen Afridi’s five-wicket haul backed by Sajid Khan’s double blow helped visitors keep Bangladesh’s lead to 201 runs.
Earlier in the day, Hasan Ali gave Pakistan an opening as he accounted for the experienced batter in Mushfiqur while Yasir Ali had to leave the crease after he was hit on the helmet of Shaheen Afridi’s bowling. Nurul Hasan was brought in as the concussion substitute.
