2nd Annual Paddy Festival-2021 held

Imphal, November 28 2021: Sanjenlok Village and Coordinating Body Khurai jointly inaugurated the Second Paddy Fetsival-2021 at Sanjenlok village on Saturday.

Speaking in connection with the festival, Coordinating Body Khurai spokesperson Bon Khurai urged for stopping all petty land disputes in the valley area.

He also urged for helping in beautifying one's village instead of immediately relocating to the urban areas as soon as one has money to do so.

In his speech, Body chairman Y Cojendro urged the education minister to inaugurate the Sanjenlok Primary School at the earliest and construct an Anganwadi centre in the area, as per the written request submitted by the Body and Sanjenlok Development Committee.

A team led by CMO Imphal East Dr L Indira also conducted an awareness campaign on dengue and malaria, in addition to carrying out a Covid-19 vaccination camp.

Veterinary Officer Regional Main AI Centre ICDP Porompat Dr Laishram Brajagopal and his team also carried out a vaccination camp for animals in the village.

Later, the District Agriculture Office, Imphal East distributed seeds to farmers as per the instructions of the Agriculture minister.

Various prizes including titles for Queen of Sanjenlok, Hero of Sanjenlok; best Lou Sangam and highest yield were also distributed.
