Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn has reflected on her troubled teen years.
In an interview with The Sunday Times, the show villain, 33, revealed she faced difficult years throughout high school, after her ill mother withdrew her from education at 16 to home school her before sending her to an 'alternative school'.
The reality star explained that at the school, her peers were 'gang members, trafficked girls, prostitutes and drug users', while also shedding light on being jailed at 17 for marijuana possession - when her parents left her in prison.

Christine, who hails from Dallas, shot to fame on the Netflix series in 2019 and has spoken previously about moving away from her roots.
In her latest interview, she detailed her mother's ill health, explaining that she had: 'Lupus, Raynaud’s, arthritis so bad, [limited] movement in her hands, Her hands are totally fused together. She had breast cancer twice … a double mastectomy.'
On top of the issues, she also had an aneurysm and open heart surgery.
Due to fears of her mother passing away, she withdrew Christine from school however soon realised she could not teach her adequately herself, so sent her to 'an alternative school' where her peers were extremely troubled.

She said: 'That was, you know, an eye-opener. I went to school with people that were members of gangs, with girls that were being trafficked...
'I was with girls that were prostitutes, and I would see their pimps pick them up after school. Girls that were pregnant”, kids who were “in and out of jail, problems with drugs. And I learnt to grow up really quick'.
During this time, she had her run in with the police - in which her parents opted to 'teach her a lesson' rather than help her escape jail.

She recalled getting arrested, saying: 'At my 17th birthday someone gave me a little marijuana. My parents taught me a lesson. They left me in jail for four days....
'The food was horrible [in jail] and everyone was in there for things like prostitution, and I was just, like, I’m here for friggin’ weed.'
Back in September, she spoke again about the incident, saying: 'One day someone gave me a little birthday surprise, and it happened to be marijuana...
'Another kid saw them give it to me, and I got called into the principal's office and the principal had a choice. She said, 'I'm going to think about whether I'm going to suspend you or call the police right now.' And she chose to call the police...

'So they booked me and everything, handcuffs and all. I walked out of that school and I was in jail because you're a legal adult at 17.'
Christine has been candid about working towards getting away from her scandal-laden past and shedding her 'Texas Girl' image.
Her latest interview comes after the man who formerly dated Christine and her co-star Emma Hernan was identified as Peter Cornell of The Oppenheim Group.
An insider told Us Weekly on Sunday that Peter, 45, was the man who Christine, 33, and Emma, 30, argued over on the Netflix reality series.
Peter has a background as a realtor and works for The Oppenheim Group as its director of the sports and entertainment, according to the publication, and has become a hot topic on the new season of the hit show.
