Imphal, November 27 2021: The Covid Warrior Nursing Officers' Association has submitted a memorandum to the Directorate of Health Services, Manipur today requesting the authorities concerned to withhold walk-in-interview for contractual engagement of staffs of Covid hospitals at Kiyamgei, Kakching and LMO Plants at Porompat/Kiyamgei until the service of the association's members is extended.
According to a press release issued today by the Covid Warrior Nursing Officers' Association, the Central Government has made recommendations to consider giving preference in regular Government appointments to those health professionals who have completed 100 days of Covid related duties.
It may be noted that the members of the association who were appointed on contractual basis have all completed more than 100 days of service and they are still being utilised to combat the pandemic under the Directorate of Health Services.
As such, the association has appealed to extend the nursing officers' service before the commencement of walk-in interview scheduled to be held from December 9 to 14 or withhold the interview until their demand is met.
