As it is done elsewhere in the country, Lilong Haoreibi College also observed the National Constitution Day the 26th November 2021 under the initiatives of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell and College Teachers Association. The Principal of the College Dr Raheijuddin Sheikh administered the oath of the preamble at the college multipurpose hall.

Also known as the National Law Day, the day is being observed to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India on the 26 November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted to the Constitution of India, and it came into effect on 26 January 1950.

By giving his key address before administering the oath of the preamble, the principal reiterated the significance of the day as the Government of India declared 26 November as Constitution Day on 19 November 2015 by a gazette notification.

He also said that the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi made the declaration on 11 October 2015 while laying the foundation stone of Dr B. R. Ambedkar's Statue of Equality memorial in Mumbai. The year of 2021 is the 131st Birth anniversary of Ambedkar, who had chaired the drafting committee of the Constituent Assembly and played a pivotal role in the drafting of the constitution. Previously this day was celebrated as Law Day.

The observance was attended by the president of the College teachers’ association E. Bhorat Singh who also presided over the occasion and Head of the Mathematics Syed Zakir Hussain as the Guest of Honour. E. Bhorat Singh explained the contents of the preamble to the students and advised them to strictly adhere to the preamble.
