The Country Club Park RV Resort located on the grounds of the old Jasper Country Club at 488 Country Club Road north of Jasper on Highway 96 will be restarting their Christmas Expo after a COVID related shutdown in 2020.

Chance and Amanda Evans are the owner of the resort, and are excited to restart this Christmas tradition for the public.

“We started the expo in 2018 after we purchased the property and people loved it the first year and in 2019, so we wanted to bring it back and make it our gift to the community,” Amanda Evans said.

Over 40 vendors will be at this year’s event, but it is the kids who will be getting the real treats.

“We will have a hayride, make your own smores, face painting, games, a bounce house and more and all of that will be free,” Amanda continued. There will be food vendors and lots of craft vendors who will have items for sale.

The resort which sits on parts of the old golf course has beautiful views, and a total of 71 RV sites that include 53 monthly rentals. Some sites are rented by people from as far north as Wisconsin and Indiana. The resort is constantly filled with people who live and enjoy the RV lifestyle.

“We have expanded from our original 43 sites to the 71 we now have, and we will continue to expand as demand grows,” Amanda Evans said. Other improvements on the horizon include rental cabins and a bathhouse.

Chance and Amanda live on site, and have a small store that stocks items that people might need while at the resort. The couple formerly owned O’Miller’s Convivence Store, so they have a sales and retail background. Amanda did say that they had maintained the driving range as the only part of the golf course that remains, and it stays busy with $5 ball buckets.

The Christmas Expo is this weekend on Saturday, Dec. 4, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy some Christmas Spirit,” Amanda said.
