Imphal, November 25 2021: As part of the 'Jan Jagran Abhiyan' campaign launched by the Indian National Congress (INC) against rising prices of fuel and goods, a women-only meeting was organised by Yaiskul Block Mahila Congress Committee at the residence of intending INC candidate from Yaiskul AC Ningombam Helendro at Palace Compound here on Thursday.

The meeting was attended by MPCC Mahila president M Sarma Devi, N Helendro, Yaiskul Block Mahila Congress Committee president RK Santi Devi, VP T Suni-ta and general secretary W Lingthoinganbi as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Helendro accused the BJP governments at the centre and in the state of looting the people in broad daylight through various means including increasing the price of fuel and daily essential items and introducing schemes which are alleging restricting the people from withdrawing money from their own bank accounts for more than 3 times a month with threats of fines.

He then urged the people to extend support to Congress candidates and ensure the return of Congress government, which has and Will always think for the poor people.

Later, a rally was taken out to various important areas of the constituency.
