CHENNAI:  Pradosh Ranjan Paul’s century helped Tamil Nadu thrash Uttar Pradesh by four wickets in the BCCI Men’s Under-25 Inter-State ‘A’ Trophy one-day match played in Mohali on Wednesday. Pradosh and Ganesh added 174 runs in 187 balls for the fifth wicket to bail out Tamil Nadu, who at one stage were 47 for 4 in the eleventh over.

Brief scores: Uttar Pradesh 258/9 in 50 ovs (Sandeep Kumar 66, Kritagya Singh 41, Yashovardhan Singh 53, RS Jaganath Sinivas 5/53) lost to Tamil Nadu 262/6 in 47.5 ovs (Pradosh Ranjan Paul 100, S Ganesh 89 n.o.).

S Preyesh of RTTHPC and M Hansini of MST put up a sterling performance by winning two titles each in the Win News -TNTTA state table tennis championship.
