NPF Central Women Wing Co-ordination meeting at Kohima

Leader of the Naga People’s Front Legislature Wing, TR Zeliang today categorically stated that NPF is the only political party that truly worked and talked for the Naga political issue. “Many political parties talk about Naga political issue during the peak hour of election time but the principal of NPF is purely for the Naga cause”, he added.
Speaking as the Guest speaker during the NPF Central Women Wing Co-ordination meeting here at Central office, TR Zeliang said that NPF party do not only walk the talk when it comes to Naga political issue but also manifested it and pointed out that when NPF was in the reign of state affair has called for all political party (11 political parties) including the civil societies and adopted resolution not to distribute party tickets or file nomination for the 2018 State General election as part of “solution before election”, however, the BJP has walked out the same day, he resented.
TR Zeliang also stressed upon the importance of women role in the society has stated that, it was only the NPF party that truly considered women has a vital role for the better society and hence in 2017, the party government has initiated and announced 33% reservation to the local urban bodies but sadly due to hue and cry from the public, it cannot materialized, he regretted.
Speaking on Manipur state election due next year, TR Zeliang expressed his confidence that NPF will secure more seats and protect the Naga identity as well as the party.
He also called upon the women to come forward and play their important role in politics for shaping the better society. The NPF President, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu who also spoke on the occasion reminded that the NPF party was formed in the midst of blood and tears and with a purpose for the Naga people.
He said other political parties form for election with a vision for power and money but the regional NPF is form purely for the better purpose of the Naga people. He recalled that NPF party is for the vision of the Naga people belongs to every Naga people and stated that many present leaders who may be in different political parties may also come back to the NPF party one day as this party belong to no one but the Naga people, he added.
Short speeches were also delivered by the Manipur State unit women Wing, Sano Vamuzo, advisor Central Women Wing and Central Youth Wing. Earlier, the meeting was chaired by Wongshikokla, General Secretary, Central Women Wing, invocation prayer by Shaan Khiam, Secretary Central Women Wing while welcome address was delivered by Grace Murry, General Secretary Central Women Wing and vote of thanks was pronounced by Zhokholü Nyekha, General Secretary Central Women Wing.
The Presidential address was delivered by Yanhola, President Central Women Wing and the meeting was enthralled by a special number presented by Khrienuo Kerhüo, working President Central Women Wing. The Co-ordination meeting was attended by Women leader from Manipur State Unit and all the 14 divisional units of Nagaland State. Later, a four point resolution was adopted.
The NPF Women Wing reiterate its support to the leadership of the Honourable Party President, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu and the Honourable NPF Legislature Party leader, Mr. T. R. Zeliang to carry forward the party legacy of “Peace and Development” for the Naga People. The NPF Women Wing re-affirmed its support to the Leadership of its respected President, Miss Yanhola Yimchunger and resolved to re-dedicate and re-commit ourselves to the vision of the party by becoming a stronger party wing.
The NPF Women Wing resolved to give its full support to our party candidates in the upcoming Manipur State Assembly Election 2022 by actively campaigning and participating in the election rallies.
The NPF Women Wing also resolved to increase its current strength of its office bearers from 23 members to a larger number and also re-activate all its Unit level in Nagaland in preparation of the 2023 Nagaland State Assembly General Election and also tour all its Nagaland Division offices before the declaration of the Nagaland Assembly general election, 2023.
