After scoring three nominations for the 2022 Grammy Awards, Jay-Z has set a new record.
The rapper has officially become the most Grammy-nominated artist of all time, with a whopping 83 nods throughout his career.
Jay-Z previously held the record alongside legendary producer Quincy Jones, both standing at 80 nominations, but his latest recognitions for guest appearances on tracks with Kanye West and DMX, have helped him secure a solo victory.
Jay-Z has bagged 23 Grammy wins in his career so far, but, of course, that number could change with the upcoming Grammys taking place on 31 January 2022.
Keeping it in the family, the star's wife, Beyoncé, in 2021 became the female artist with the most Grammy wins to her name. The singer has earned 28 Golden gramophone statuettes throughout her career.
"I am so honoured. I'm so excited. Thank you," said the singer, who made a surprise showing at the gala she had skipped for the past several years.
