- The country recorded 1 275 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday.
- 22 new deaths have been recorded, bringing the confirmed death toll to 89 657.
South Africa has administered 25 million Covid-19 vaccine doses, as more than 14 million people have reached full vaccination.
According to the Department of Health, 25 002 232 vaccine doses have been administered. Of those, 129 660 were administered in the last 24-hour reporting cycle. To date, 14 005 677 adults are fully vaccinated, and 379 074 children have received one vaccine dose.

The country recorded 22 new deaths on Wednesday, bringing the confirmed death toll to 89 657.
According to the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD), as of Wednesday, the country recorded 2 950 035 laboratory-confirmed cases.
"The NICD… reports that 1 275 new Covid-19 cases have been identified in South Africa, representing a 3.6% positivity rate," the NICD said in a statement.

As of Wednesday, Gauteng recorded 932 735 confirmed cases, KwaZulu-Natal 517 881 and the Western Cape 517 544.
The majority of new cases on Wednesday were from Gauteng with 80%, followed by the Western Cape with 5%. KwaZulu-Natal and North West each accounted for 3%; the Eastern Cape, Limpopo and Mpumalanga 2% each; and the Free State and the Northern Cape 1% each.
Gauteng recorded 1 018 new cases on Wednesday, the Western Cape 61 and KwaZulu-Natal 44.
There were 53 new hospital admissions in the last 24-hour cycle. As of Wednesday, 2 106 people were in hospital with Covid-19.
South Africa conducted 19 279 975 cumulative tests, of which 35 390 were carried out in the last 24-hour cycle.
