Torrent Pharma shares up 1.54% as Nifty drops

NEW DELHI: Shares of Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd. traded 1.54 per cent up in Thursday's trade at 10:00AM (IST). Around 3,655 shares changed hands on the counter.

The scrip opened at Rs 2823.55 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 2908.65 and Rs 2823.55, respectively, in the session so far. Shares of the company of Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 3248.0 and a 52-week low of Rs 2311.3.

The company reported consolidated net sales of Rs 2188.0 crore for the quarter ended 30-Sep-2021, up 0.64 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 2174.0 crore and up 8.16 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 2023.0 crore.

The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 316.0 crore, up 1.94 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.

As of 30-Sep-2021, domestic institutional investors held 6.71 per cent stake in the company, while foreign institutional investors held 11.53 per cent and the promoters 71.25 per cent.
