Apart from revealing the TRK 800 adventure motorcycle at EICMA 2021, Benelli has also showcased the 2022 Leoncino 125 at the ongoing event.
The design of the 2022 Benelli Leoncino 125 is similar to that of the Leoncino 500 that is on sale in India. The motorcycle features alloy wheels, a single-piece seat, and a rear tyre hugger with an integrated licence plate holder. There is also the signature Lion emblem on the front mudguard.
The suspension setup on the 2022 Benelli Leoncino 125 consists of a pair of 35 mm USD front forks and a rear mono-shock. For the brakes, the company has provided a 280 mm rotor up-front and a 220 mm rotor at the back.
Powering the 2022 Benelli Leoncino 125 is a 125cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that features an overhead camshaft, 4 valves and electronic fuel injection. The motor is said to produce 12.6 BHP and 10 Nm.
The 2022 Benelli Leoncino 125 is expected to be introduced in the European markets next year. Its arrival in India is uncertain, however, if it makes it here, it would compete with bikes like the KTM 125 Duke.
