Schneider Electric has appointed Patricia Hopkins to the role of director of its distributed software and business development team.
"As we continue to see the merging of the IT and OT environments it's critical that our expertise aligns with this. Bringing Patricia on board is a huge win for Schneider Electric's distributed software offer and our business development team," said Schneider Electric vice president of industry Mauro DelleMonache.
"Patricia's extensive experience makes for a tremendous addition to Schneider Electric, with her blended background in developing winning sales strategy and managing large teams to achieve targeted outcomes and value for customers."
Hopkins joins Schneider from Insight Enterprises Australia, where she served as sales director.
She previously held state manager roles at SAS, Dimension Data, Volante and Ericsson, and also worked as Citec's professional services director, and as Optus's financial sector strategy manager,

Other recent appointments at Schneider Electric include Astrid Groves' return as channel chief for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific, and Natalie Mina taking on the role of Pacific head of communications.
