Gurgaon: As many as 53 government vaccination session sites will be set up in the city for
Covid-19 vaccination on Thursday. According to the health department,
Covishield will be administered at 47 sites,
Covaxin at five sites while
Sputnik V at one site. Moreover, health teams will visit 152 areas to carry out door-to-door vaccination on Thursday.
A total of 11,399 people in the age group of 18-44 years got inoculated on Wednesday. In the 45-plus category, as many as 1,333 people took the shots, while six healthcare and three frontline workers also received the jabs. In all, 12,741 doses were administered on Wednesday.
At present, the district is aggressively administering second vaccine doses. The plan is to have 80% of doses reserved for the second dose recipients daily in the district with a view to inoculate them at the earliest.
City sees 7 new Covid cases
Gurgaon Wednesday witnessed nine new Covid cases on, taking the caseload to 1,81,647, of which 75 are
active cases. As many as eight people also recovered from the infection, increasing the total number of recoveries to 1,80,647. A total of 71 patients are in home isolation. The recovery rate now stands at 99.3%.
In the past 24 hours, the health authorities have collected 3,469 samples for antigen and RT-PCR tests. Till now 21,40,293 samples have been sent for testing, of which 19,55,177 returned negative while the results of 2,228 are awaited.
