New Delhi: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who is currently on her Delhi visit, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday. Speaking about the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls, Mamata said that her party is ready to held Samajwadi party if Akhilesh asks for it. “If Akhilesh (Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav) needs our help, then we are ready to extend help,” the TMC Supremo said. Earlier today, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy held a meeting with Banerjee. Following the meeting, Swamy laid speculations about him joining the Trinamool Congress to rest. “I was already with her (Mamata). There is no need for me to join the party,” he told reporters. The meeting held at TMC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee’s official residence in Delhi.
