Scarlet Nexus, possibly the most anime game of the year, has been marked down to just $25 iat Amazon, Target, Best Buy, and GameStop's Black Friday sales. Considering that the game's regular retail price is $60, this is a massive discount that's valid on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S versions of Scarlet Nexus. Keep in mind that Scarlet Nexus is also available on Game Pass.
If you missed out on it earlier this year, Scarlet Nexus is a colorful and action-packed romp in a world that is under siege from brain-eating monsters. Of course, the only natural response to this threat is to unleash a misfit team of teenagers who wield vast psychic powers, with each member of your squad having an ability that complements your own telekinetic gifts.
Throw in a story that's told from two unique viewpoints, a conspiracy-loaded narrative, and plenty of great action, and you've got a game that's pure anime comfort food to gorge on over a week or two.
"I had a good deal of fun mixing up my SAS abilities, crushing enemies in my Brain Field, and watching my team have a video game tournament at our base to settle an argument over living space boundaries," critic Heidi Kemps wrote in her Scarlet Nexus review. "It might not be a new pinnacle of action-game storytelling, but Scarlet Nexus is still plenty of fun in the right places."
