Hilarious footage has surfaced of a 'dead' Schoolies party that saw outraged teens pay $50 to splash around with inflatable flamingoes in a near-empty pool.
The highly-anticipated Hilton Pool Party held in Surfers Paradise on Tuesday failed to draw a crowd despite the promise of DJs, tacos, and celebrity appearances.
A woman filmed the woeful crowds from her hotel room and posted the footage to TikTok with the caption: 'What a $50 pool party gets you at Schoolies'.
It comes as thousands of Year 12 students have descended on the glitter strip to kick off three weeks of partying in spite of Covid-19 restrictions and gloomy weather.

Organisers of the pool party promised punters the chance to get up close and personal with members of the 2021 Love Island cast.
The party was also attended by DJ vocal and producer duo 'Bombs Away', best known for their top 40 2012 Single 'Party Bass'.
Love Island contestant Rachael Evren told her 50,000 followers on Instagram this years' Schoolies events were going to be 'huge'.
However, footage from the party saw what appeared to be less than 50 people, mostly young men, mingling on the deck or perched on inflatables in the pool.
Social media users swarmed to the comments of the video to make fun of the low turnout, however others said there were other factors at play.
'Schoolies looking dead,' one man commented.
'Atmosphere looks terrible, save your money and go party in Europe where you're actually allowed to party,' a second suggested.

Another woman tagged her friends and said: 'That's decided, I'm not paying for that.'
'Be right back, taking it off my booking,' another agreed.
'That pool was packed when I went in 2018, no room to swim or nothing, people in every square metre of the pool,' a Schoolies veteran recalled.
However, many were quick to point out that students in New South Wales and Victoria were still sitting their exams and usually attended the following week.
'It's because all the NSW kids are still doing exams, so it's just QLD kids,' one said.
Several others pointed out many students from places Queensland has declared a hotspot, such as Sydney or Melbourne, would have had to quarantine for 14 days.
'Would rather just go to Cali Beach Club,' one woman said.

The luxury beachside rooftop is a popular haunt for Schoolies attendees as well as a string of glamorous influences and reality television contestants.
The Schoolies Nation Festival is due to kick off at Main Beach on Wednesday and will hopefully draw a bigger crowd than the Hilton pool party.

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk gave the green light for festivities last Thursday - a relief to thousands of Year 12 students that spent most of the year in and out of lockdowns and under Covid restrictions.
In preparation for the influx of more than 20,000 teenagers at Surfers Paradise, police have set up a 'robust' system to ensure all are kept safe.
Pop up tents will be set up each night to help any Schoolies revellers that may require medical assistance.
Extra police officers will also be called in to patrol the streets and will this year have metal detectors to crack down on anyone carrying knives.
The Red Frogs volunteers will also be out in full force, offering lollies and pancakes to those who may have woken up with a sore head.
