Tragedy strikes as Adelaide boy, 7, found unresponsive in backyard pool

- The seven-year-old is believed to have jumped the fence and entered the pool
- A shocked neighbour returned home and discovered the boy unresponsive
The devastated parents of a seven-year-old boy who drowned in a neighbour's backyard pool took turns to desperately revive him.
Ajok Garang, was found unresponsive in a neighbour's pool after jumping the fence at a Goodfield Rd property in Para Hills West, Adelaide, early on Tuesday evening.
The boy's mother, Amuor Aliers, was inside cleaning and looking after her newborn when she heard her children call her from their backyard.

'I could hear the boys playing but then I heard a neighbour say 'your boy's in the pool', Ms Aliers told Adelaide Now.
'Deng and I took turns performing CPR while the neighbour called for help.'
The neighbours returned home at around 6pm and made the shocking discovery in their backyard.
Emergency services were called in to try and save the boy, but despite their efforts he tragically died at the scene.
Ajok was reportedly in the water for 20minutes before the alarm was raised.
Ms Aliers described the seven-year-old as a 'lovely kind-hearted boy' as she Ajok's father Deng grieve their devastating loss.
'He was a very good boy, everyday after I finish work we would spend time together,' Mr Garang said.
South Australian Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
