MGSF, MSPU urge

Imphal, November 23 2021: The Manipur State Pensioners' Union (MSPU) and the Manipur Government Services Federation (MGSF) have stated that witholding the retirement benefits of Government for nearly 2 years has caused untold inconveniences to the retired employees.
Addressing a press conference at Pishum, vice president of both MSPU and MGSF, L Sharat continued that GPF final withdrawal, gratuity payment, leave salary, arrear for 7th pay revision and commodation payment for the Government employees who have retired in the last 2 years have not been released till date.
Saying that the non distribution of the retirement benefits is troubling the retired Government to a great extent, he urged the State Government to release the amount at the earliest.
There is also an outstanding issue for veterinary doctors at the moment, he said and claimed that vetirary doctors who retired before 2016 recieved about Rs 15,000 more than those who retired in between 2016 and 2019 per month as pension.
He then urged the Government to look into the matter at the earliest.
