Infections in Rajasthan spiralling, active Covid cases stand at 136

JAIPUR: With Covid cases on the rise in Jaipur and other parts of the state, the health department has appealed to people to take precautions and follow standard SOPs. In just two days, the state has reported 45 cases. On Monday, the state recorded 22 cases, the highest single-day jump in the last three months. On Tuesday, 23 cases were reported.
The overall tally of cases has now increased to 9,54,651. The state's casualty count stands at 8,955. In the last 24 hours, as many as 18 persons have recovered.
Active cases have shot up to 136. In Jaipur, there are 92 active cases now. Jaipur's Bhankrota reported 12 cases, while one case each was reported from Civil Lines, C-scheme, Malviya Nagar, Raja Park, Sethi Colony and Tonk Road.
Apart from Jaipur, four cases were reported from Ajmer, while one person was found infected with the virus in Alwar. In Ajmer, 10 persons recovered from Covid and its active cases are now stands at 14. Rest of the 30 districts did not report any case. A health department official said people should follow covid appropriate behaviour in Jaipur, which is witnessing an increase in daily infections.
