Orange CEO handed one-year suspended sentence in Tapie case

Orange's CEO Stephane Richard has been given a one-year suspended sentence and EUR 50,000 fine by the Paris appeals court for his role in the so-called Tapie affair, Le Monde reports. He was found to be complicit in abusing public funds in an arbitration settlement by state-owned bank Credit Lyonnais that benefited businessman Bernard Tapie in 2008.
