NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Wednesday.
Shares of Macrotech Developers(up 2.46 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 1.52 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(up 0.67 per cent) and Godrej Properties(up 0.24 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Oberoi Realty(down 1.21 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.21 per cent), DLF(down 1.09 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(down 1.08 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 0.07 per cent down at 515.65.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 88.3 points at 17415.05, while the BSE Sensex stood down 323.34 points at 58340.99.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 ended in the green, while 32 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Tata Power, YES Bank, Zomato Ltd. and IOB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Marshall Machines, Latent View Analytics Ltd., Kabra Extrusion, Elgi Equipments and MTAR Technologies Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Vikas Proppant & Gr, Spandana Sphoorty, Nidan Laboratories And Healthcare Ltd., Destiny Logistics & Infra Ltd. and Supreme Infra hit their fresh 52-week lows.
