NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded positive around 10:04AM(IST)on Wednesday in an upbeat market.

Natco Pharma(up 1.78 per cent), Laurus(up 1.17 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma(up 1.09 per cent), Alkem Laboratories(up 1.0 per cent) and Lupin(up 0.77 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Ipca Laboratories(down 1.54 per cent), Divis Laboratories(down 0.99 per cent), Biocon(down 0.96 per cent), Abbott India(down 0.73 per cent) and Cipla(down 0.33 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.09 per cent at 13501.75 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 42.85 points at 17546.2, while the BSE Sensex was up 114.95 points at 58779.28.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Power, Trident Ltd and IOB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Marshall Machines, Precision Camshaft, SBC Exports, GSS Infotech and Kabra Extrusion hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Vikas Proppant & Gr, Nidan Laboratories And Healthcare Ltd., Destiny Logistics & Infra Ltd., Spandana Sphoorty and Supreme Infra hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
