Spanish telecom sector sales up 4% in Q2, FTTH footprint hits 60 mln

Total revenues for the Spanish telecommunication and audiovisual retail sector came to EUR 5.74 billion in the second quarter of 2021, up 4.3 percent compared to the Covid-affected year earlier result, according to the latest quarterly update from communications regulator CNMC. The quarterly result was helped by a 6.7 percent year on year rise in fixed broadband revenues to EUR 1.12 billion, with audiovisual service revenues surging 24.4 percent to EUR 1.01 billion while mobile service revenues fell 8.5 percent to EUR 2.08 billion.
