Kamal Haasan’s health update: Shruti Haasan tweets, 'He is recovering well'

Actor, filmmaker and politician, Kamal Haasan recently tested positive for COVID-19 and has been admitted to a private hospital in Chennai. Now, his daughter Shruti Haasan has shared an update regarding Kamal Haasan's health on her social media handle. Shruti took to Twitter and thanked her father's fans and followers for their prayers. Her post read, 'Thankyou for all your wishes and prayers for my fathers health. He is recovering well and is looking forward to interacting with all of you soon !!' Kamal, who has already been vaccinated against COVID-19, had been to the US for some work and was showing mild symptoms since his return. The actor took a coronavirus test and the reports came positive. He then took to his social media handle and shared the news with his fans and followers and wrote, 'After returning from America, I had a slight cough. Following a test it was confirmed that I have tested positive for COVID-19. I have isolated myself in the hospital. People should understand that the pandemic is not over yet and must take utmost precaution.' His post went viral in no time and his fans started pouring in their prayers for the actor. Prior to Shruti, the hospital had also released a health bulletin and said, 'Sri Kamal Haasan is admitted in SRMC for complaints of lower respiratory tract infection and fever. He was tested COVID positive. He is on medical management and his condition is stable.' On the work front, Haasan is hosting 'Bigg Boss Tamil 5' and recently wrapped up the last schedule of his most awaited movie 'Vikram'.
