Dengue positive cases reach 75 in Moreh

Moreh, November 23 2021: The total number of persons infected with Dengue in the border town of Moreh has reached 75 with Chavangphai Leikai registering highest positive cases at 34 as of Monday.
Except for Moreh Ward No 6, Dengue positive case has been increasing gradually in every locality of the border town.
Till Monday, a total of three positive cases had been reported from Moreh Ward No 1 and seven cases from Ward No 2 .
Moreh Ward No 3 also had two cases while Ward No 4 had three positive cases.
Moreh Ward No 5 has so far reported 14 positive cases while Ward No 7 Chavangphai Leikai registered highest number of positive cases at 34 till date.
Santi Nagar locality too reported two cases while Moreh Turel Wangma, reported one case so far.
Two positive cases had been reported from Moreh Ward No 8 so far while Moreh Ward No 9 had reported one case as also one positive case from S Moljol village.
Govajang village and T Yangnom village too reported two and one case respectively as of Monday, thus totalling total number of Dengue positive cases in the border town to 75 .
Meanwhile, District Malaria officer (DMO), Tengnoupal district Dr Manibushan Yaikhom and assistant Malaria officer (AMO) Kamei Khamchungpu Rongmei are currently in Moreh to assess the situation and oversee fogging and Larvicide spraying in different localities of the town.
