Halo Infinite Fracture Tenrai event: Challenges, Tenrai dates and how to get the 'samurai' Yoroi armor
How to unlock the 'samurai' armour over the course of the season.
Fracture: Tenrai in Halo Infinite is the first event for the game's multiplayer mode.
Debuting one week after its beta debut, the free event allows you to unlock the 'samurai' Yoroi armor.
Similar to the 'main' Battle Pass, there is an event-specific pass which requires you to unlock a number of tiers to unlock and customise the samurai armour - however, you only have a brief period of time during the event to do so.

How Halo: Infinite Fracture: Tenrai event and challenges work
The Fracture: Tenrai event has its own event pass which you can view in the same area as the season-long battle pass and your weekly challenges.

To progress Fracture: Tenrai tiers, you must complete Fracture: Tenrai challenges. These are added to your weekly challenge pool, and are differentiated by a red strip.

If you cannot see any 'red' Fracture: Tenrai challenges, they are likely in the 'upcoming' set of weekly challenges. Press the Y button over the 'active' weekly challenges to see which challenges are remaining. When you have completed one of the 'active' ones, an 'upcoming' challenge will cycle in next.

There are a total of seven Fracture: Tenrai event challenges to complete during the week - assigned to you at random from a pool of possible challenges - allowing you to unlock seven tiers. With 30 tiers in total to complete, this means you must participate in multiple weeks in order to complete the event pass in its entirety.
Though you cannot purchase tiers of the free event pass, you can use Challenge Swaps if you are struggling with any particular challenge.
Assuming seven Fracture: Tenrai event challenges appear each time, in theory you need to participate in five of the six weeks to fully complete the event pass. This gives you a degree of flexibility, but also means you need to make significant progress within each event's appearance to get everything.

Between the limited number of tiers you can complete each time the Fracture: Tenrai event is active, and having you complete regular weekly challenges in order to surface the Fracture: Tenrai event challenges each time, it's a needlessly slow system that feels like a grind - and demands you check in during the above dates if you want to complete the pass.
Developer 343 Industries is said to be fixing progression with the Battle Pass, and hopefully it applies to events like this. Until then - be prepared to return to the game regularly to get everything from the Tenrai event.
Fracture: Tenrai event pass tiers and skins: How to get the 'samurai' Yoroi armor in Halo Infinite
To unlock the complete Yoroi armour set, you must progress through tiers of the Fracture: Tenrai event pass, which has 30 tiers in total, giving you a number of associated cosmetics and ways to customise your armour set.
Thankfully, the 'core' of the armor is unlocked fairly early at tier 5, meaning you can obtain the basics of the set within one week's play.
The list of cosmetics and unlocks are as follows - everything in-between are either XP boosters or Challenge Skips:
Tier 1. Torii Reflection backdrop:

Tier 4. Samurai nameplate:

Tier 5. Yoroi armor core:

Tier 9. Samurai vehicle emblem:

Tier 10. Gatekeeper left shoulder pad:

Tier 14. Samurai armor emblem:

Tier 15. Gatekeeper right shoulder pad:

Tier 19. Samurai weapon emblem:

Tier 20. Sol Devil weapon coating (MA40 Assault Rifle):

Tier 24. Whispered Sky weapon coating (MK50 Sidekick):

Tier 25. Yokai helmet:

Tier 28. Whispered sky weapon coating (BR75 Battle Rifle):

Tier 29. Spring Blossom Filter helmet attachment:

Tier 30. Swordsman's Belt utility:

As a reminder - though the event (and thus, the armor) is free for all players, the Fracture: Tenrai tiers are only around when the event is active, which is set to be for one week at a time. Think of it similar to how Destiny handles Iron Banner - which allows you to continue the event-specific quest whenever it returns throughout a season.
If you don't unlock every tier during the first week, then it will return six times throughout the first Season, which is set to conclude in May 2021.
