Katie Holmes Bundles Up on a Chilly Day in NYC

Katie Holmes steps out for a walk with a friend on Tuesday (November 23) in New York City.

She stayed warm in a cream colored wool coat and light wash jeans, pairing her look with black leather and a brown tote bag.

Earlier this month, the 42-year-old actress was spotted on the set of her latest project, Rare Objects.

In addition to starring in the film, Katie co-wrote the script and will be directing it. She’s also listed as a producer on the movie.

Rare Objects is an adaption of Kathleen Turner‘s novel of the same name, which “tells the story of a young woman (Julia Mayorga) with a traumatic past who seeks to rebuild her life when she begins working at an antique store. Receiving wisdom and guidance from the kind souls that own the shop, she gains a new level of confidence that will then be put to the test when those from her past draw her back into their world and challenge her fragile stability.”
