Hyderabad: Although there is still a lot of confusion among filmmakers as to whether they want to release films in theaters or OTT platforms, several filmmakers have finally decided to take the OTT route.
Here are some Telugu movies ready to reach millions of screens through various digital platforms. Look:
Drushyam 2
The film, which is a remake of the Malayalam film ‘Drishyam 2’, is a sequel to the hit film ‘Drushyam’. Starring Venkatesh and Meena, the film revolves around how the family handles the shocking incident in their lives. The film will premiere on Amazon Prime Video from November 25.
Romantic
The film that marks the debut of Puri Jagannadh’s son Akash Puri, and is nominated as a romantic action-entertainment star. Written by Puri Jagannadh, the film is directed by Anil Paduri and produced by Puri Connects’ banner. The movie also plays the senior actors Ramya Krishnan, Ketika Sharma, Mandira Bedi in prominent roles. The film will be premiered on November 26 at ‘aha’.
Republic
‘Republic’, starring Sai Dharam Tej, revolves around Abhi (Dharam Tej), an IIT gold medalist who is drawn into the Indian Administrative Services. And as a district collector, he confronts the newly elected political establishment led by Vishakha Vani, who has climbed the ladder of power by polluting Asia’s largest freshwater lake on its way up. The film shows the interesting cold war between the politician and Sai Dharam Tej. The film will be released on November 26 on Zee5.
BRO
The upcoming film ‘BRO’ will see actors Avika Gor and Naveen Chandra play brothers and sisters for the first time. The movie revolves around each of their lives and the brother or sister between the two main characters. Directed by Karthik Thupurani, ‘BRO’ is funded by producer JJR Ravichand under the banner of JJR Entertainments. The film will be available for streaming on Sony Liv from November 26.
