Overview : MaolKeki Foundation is a pioneering organization established with the purpose of catalysing positive development in Manipur, India. The Foundation has trained over 2,000 farmers and provided last-mile health assessments to over 3,000 farmers and their families in Manipur. In collaboration with the Agri Enterpreneur Growth Foundation - AEGF, Anaha Trust and Sattva, MaolKeki Foundation also launched an Agri Entrepreneur Program that has led to agribusinesses such as Veg in a Basket, Pukkei Agribusiness, Ingudam Nurseries, Leibak Leihao Labs, etc.
The Foundation recently launched a Women and Child Development Initiative to support underprivileged and disadvantaged women and girls in Manipur. The first of the activities under this is providing affordable, high quality, and secure accommodation to those who come to Imphal to study or work on their own, as well as a working space for women entrepreneurs. Multiple self-catering apartments are being completed in a multi-story building for this purpose and we are now looking for a Facilities, Women & Child Development Initiative Manager.
Location : Selected candidate must reside at the said facility in Imphal, Manipur
Contract : Permanent
Compensation : Base salary with health allowance, one-bed accommodation with electricity and water charges included, and travel expenses. Base salary to be determined based on experience and fit with the Foundation’s goals.
Description of Role:
1) The Facilities, Women & Child Development Initiative Manager will look after the day-to-day running of the building
2) S/he will be responsible for welcoming new tenants and explaining the rules of the facility
3) S/he will be responsible for the general upkeep of the building and managing the cleaner, guard and any maintenance works that need to be carried out at the facility
4) S/he will be responsible for ensuring rents are paid on time, managing arrears, keeping records and reporting anything that needs the prompt attention of management
5) S/he will be responsible for the overall security of the facility and its residents
6) S/he will monitor electricity and water use, and ensure timely top-ups and re-fills, as well as timely disposal of waste
7) S/he will ensure that tenants are compliant with the accommodation rules and regulations
8) S/he will act as the first point of contact during an emergency and help decide on the next course of action
9) S/he will be the point of contact for any service provider working in the building
10) Adhere to confidentiality and data protection requirements at all times, and be up-to-date with all regulatory requirements
11) S/he will work with the leadership of the Foundation to design and manage various Women and Child Development activities
Eligibility
1) Graduate, with experience in facilities, hotel or hospitality management
2) S/he should be willing to relocate to live in the building while employed in the role
3) S/he must be self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and willing to work in a developing environment with a problem-solving attitude
4) Candidate must have strong relationship and communication skills, be respectful, kind and empathetic towards others
5) Candidate must be willing to attend required training programs to perform better in the role
6) This role demands fluency in Manipuri as lingua franca with fluency in any of the local Manipuri language(s) a plus besides English and Hindi
7) Basic Computer skills is a must
