    NSE-BSE bulk deals: Vedanta promoters buy 3.7% stake in company

    Synopsis

    Life Insurance Corporation of India sold 39,000 shares of Sir Shadi Lal Enterprises at Rs. 156.2 apiece through a bulk deal on the BSE.

    MUMBAI: Vedanta’s promoters Netherlands and Twin Star Holdings today bought 137.9 million shares or 3.7 per cent stake in the company at Rs. 349.7 apiece through two separate bulk deals on the National Stock Exchange.

    Prior to the transaction, the promoters held 65.18 per cent stake in the company, according to recent regulatory filings.

    Shares of the company ended 6.3 per cent higher at Rs. 348.9 on the NSE.

    Life Insurance Corporation of India sold 39,000 shares of Sir Shadi Lal Enterprises at Rs. 156.2 apiece through a bulk deal on the BSE.

    In another transaction, Ipca Laboratories bought 1.8 million shares of Lyka Labs at an average price of Rs. 126.3 apiece through two block deals on the BSE.

    Meanwhile, HDFC Mutual Fund sold 523,324 shares of Kirloskar Pneumatic at Rs. 392 per share through a bulk deal on the BSE.
