Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and party chief JP Nadda addressed BJP’s booth presidents in Kanpur on Tuesday. The CM took a jibe at those protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act, stating, “I would like to warn the person who is once again trying to incite feelings in the name of CAA. I am asking followers of ‘chacha jaan‘ and ‘abba jaan‘ to listen carefully that if attempts are made to vitiate the atmosphere of the state by inciting feelings, the state government will deal with it strictly.”
While the ruling BJP and Opposition parties such as the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and SP are focusing on caste-based conventions and meetings, the Congress is keeping its focus on women who constitute about 46 per cent of the population in Uttar Pradesh and for whom the party has announced 40 per cent of tickets for the upcoming Assembly polls.
Sharpening his attack on opposition parties, BJP chief JP Nadda said on Tuesday, "When we used to say 'Ram Lalla Hum Aayenge, Mandir Wahi Banayenge', opposition parties used to ask, 'When will the temple be built, and when will you come?' They created obstructions and then made fun of us."
"Today, we say that we have come, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has paved the way for the construction of a grand Ram temple. I want to tell the people of opposition parties that now you too come, bow your head and go ahead," he added.
People who remember Pakistan founder Mohammed Ali Jinnah are confined to dynastic politics, BJP chief J P Nadda said here on Tuesday in a veiled attack at Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav.
Yadav recently courted controversy when he named Jinnah, along with Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and Mahatma Gandhi, saying they had helped India achieve independence and never shied away from any struggle. He had also said the three leaders studied at the same institute for their barristership.
Addressing the BJP's booth heads of the Kanpur region at the railway ground in Nirala Nagar, Nadda said those who remember Jinnah are confined to dynastic politics. In Uttar Pradesh, expressway projects are so closely intertwined with politics that they have remained the headline achievement for three successive regimes.

The first expressway, the Taj Expressway project (later renamed Yamuna Expressway), went through a series of regimes before it saw the light of day. Conceived in 2001 during the BJP regime under Rajnath Singh, it was planned and executed during 2007-12 BSP regime under Mayawati — who gave it the new name — and was finally inaugurated in 2012 by then CM Akhilesh Yadav of the Samajwadi Party. Uttar Padesh chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday again used the term “abba jaan” as a jibe, threatening strict action against those who incite passion over the Citizenship Amendment act.
His main target was AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi who recently demanded the withdrawal of the law, but the CM’s remark could be interpreted by many as a reference to the Muslim community in general.
The chief minister had sparked a row in September by using the Urdu term for ‘father’, saying that rations distributed by the previous state government went to those who say “abba jaan”.
In Kanpur on Tuesday, Adityanath said there used to be riots every “third or fourth day” in Uttar Pradesh earlier. “I would like to warn the person who is once again is trying to incite feelings in the name of CAA.” “I am asking followers of ‘chacha jaan’ (uncle) and ‘abba jaan’ to listen carefully that if attempts are made to vitiate the atmosphere of the state by inciting feelings, the state government will deal with it strictly,” the chief minister said. “It took one year for us to make them (government) understand that the laws you brought are not good for poor farmers, labourers, and others. We said things in our language, but those sitting in bungalows in Delhi had another language… They decided to withdraw the law but tried to divide the farmers by saying that they failed to make some people understand the laws,” Tikait said at a kisan mahapanchayat in Lucknow, referring to Modi’s apology while announcing the decision on Friday.

The entire administration was busy in making a grand programme for the ruling party," Punia was quoted as saying by PTI.
Punia said the "dark exploits" of the state government cannot be hidden behind this grandeur and alleged that the district administration destroyed the families living in the slums around the new BJP office at the behest of the government. These people had been living there for the past 10 years and are Rajasthani sculptors having children, pregnant women, senior citizens and differently-abled members in their families, the Congress leader said.

To remind the people of the state about the work done by it, the BSP has prepared a "folder" to reach out to the people and assure them that a government formed by the party will continue to work with the motto of 'Sarvajan Hitai, Sarvajan Sukhai', she said.
