MUMBAI: Bollywood actors Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao are all set to share screen space once again in ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ from Dharma productions, the studio announced today.

Sharing the film’s first look poster, a post on Dharma’s official Twitter handle read, “It takes a partnership of the hearts to achieve a dream! Presenting #MrAndMrsMahi, a match made for the winning streak! Coming to cinemas near you on 7th October, 2022.”

Rajkummar also shared the news on his Instagram handle and wrote, “Sometimes you can’t chase your dreams, alone! Excited for this partnership on the field with Janhvi Kapoor, directed by Sharan Sharma.” Janhvi too wrote on Instagram, “Time to pad up – it’s going to be a journey of two hearts chasing a dream!”

For the unversed, Rajkummar and Janhvi have previously worked together in the Hindi horror-comedy, ‘Roohi’. Now the much awaited ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ is currently slated to release on 7 October 2022. 

NEW DELHI: Ahead of the trailer release of one of the much-anticipated movies of the year ‘Atrangi Re’, filmmaker Aanand L Rai has unveiled the first look motion posters of the lead characters— Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush.

Taking to his Instagram handle, Rai introduced Akshay’s character by writing, “If magic in every frame is what you seek, look no further than @akshaykumar in this atrangi love story.” In the motion poster, one can see Akshay in three different looks. He could be seen in the avatar of a drummer, a magician and a king. On the other hand, introducing Dhanush’s character as Vishu, Rai wrote, “Collaborating with Dhanush again was delightful. Vishu’s character is everything an atrangi love story like this could wish for.” Going by the motion poster, Dhanush could be seen playing a vagabond in the upcoming romantic drama.

Meanwhile, introducing the leading lady of the movie, Sara Ali Khan, Rai wrote, “If you don’t find love, it finds you. Meet the heart of this atrangi love story, Rinku.” Sara character Rinku hails from Bihar, in the movie.

With the motion posters, the makers have also disclosed that the movie will be released on Disney+ Hotstar instead of getting a theatrical release. The exact release date is still under wraps.

NEW YORK: Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sushmita Sen-starrer ‘Aarya’ and stand-up comedian Vir Das were among the several nominees for the International Emmy Awards 2021, held in New York City on Monday night. While it sure was a moment of pride for the three to represent India at the prestigious awards ceremony, all three missed out on the top spot in their respective categories. Nawazuddin was nominated for Best Actor for his performance in ‘Serious Men’. However, the Emmy went to Scottish actor David Tennant for ‘Des’.

Vir, who was recently embroiled in a controversy over his ‘I come from two Indias’ act at the Kennedy Center in Washington, was nominated for the Netflix comedy special ‘Vir Das: For India’. However, he lost out in the Best Comedy category as the award went to the popular French show ‘Call My Agent!’. Sushmita’s ‘Aarya’, a Disney+ Hotstar series helmed by Ram Madhvani, was nominated in the Best Drama Series category. However, the Emmy was bagged by Israel’s ‘Tehran’.

MUMBAI: Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is currently directing the upcoming movie ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, recently shared a candid video of actor Ranveer Singh, who is starring in the film.

On Monday, KJo took to his Instagram handle and posted a video of the actor. In the clip, the director can be seen asking him what he was wearing and complimenting him as well while they were on a flight. They also spoke about the recent fashion trends and Ranveer further talked about his favourite fashion looks.

In the video, the director complimented Ranveer on his all-red Sabyasachi outfit with gold buttons and a waist belt with the iconic Bengal tiger logo inscribed on it. Karan then went on to quiz Ranveer about the recent fashion trends that he’s obsessing over. “The Gucci x Balenciaga Hacker Project, that’s like a moment in fashion history,” the 36-year-old actor, who is an ardent fan of both the luxury fashion houses, said.

KJo then quizzed Ranveer about the upcoming fashion film ‘House of Gucci’ starring Adam Driver, Lady Gaga, Jared Leto and Salma Hayek, which follows the story of the Gucci empire. “Jared’s red carpet looks are to die for,” the actor said before signing off. “Toodling with ROCKY! @ranveersingh #midairshenanigans,” KJo captioned the post. 

MUMBAI: As superstar Ajay Devgn completed 30 years in the film industry, his friends and fellow stars of the film industry poured in congratulatory messages, complimenting the brilliant actor.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who will soon be seen with Ajay in the film ‘MayDay’, took to his Twitter handle and wrote a post filled with love and blessings. Superstar Akshay Kumar took to his Instagram handle and shared a BTS picture with Ajay from the sets of ‘Sooryavanshi’ in which the two can be seen laughing together. Several other celebrities including Anil Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Suniel Shetty and Rakul Preet Singh shared special posts on their respective social media handles to mark 30 years of Ajay Devgn.

Actress Kajol is also happy as her husband Ajay Devgn has completed three decades in the Indian film industry. Taking to Instagram, Kajol penned a heartfelt post for Ajay, saying she respects him a lot. “Completing 30 years, 3 decades and god knows how many countless hours before that in cinema @ajaydevgn. With the same quite study dedication and just letting his work speak for him and what he thinks about the film industry. Respect always. Keep on rocking,” she wrote. 

MUMBAI: Star cricketer Virat Kohli on Sunday morning treated his fans with an adorable picture with his wife and actor Anushka Sharma.

In the Instagram photo, the couple can be seen making cute facial expressions while twinning in white T-shirts. For the caption, Virat chose to add a few words in praise of Anushka. He called her his “rock.”

Virat’s post has brought a smile to everyone’s faces. “How cute,” a fan commented. “King with his Queen,” another one wrote. Virat and Anushka got married in December 2017 in a close ceremony in Italy. Earlier this year in January, the two became parents to a baby girl Vamika.
