    Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market falls

    NMDC Ltd(up 3.95%), 20 Microns(up 3.22%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(up 2.61%), Ashapura Minechem(up 2.33%), Coal India(up 1.73%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 1.70%), Oriental Trimex(up 1.60%), Aro Granite Industries(up 1.54%), Pokarna(up 1.32%) and MOIL(up 1.15%) were among the top gainers.

    The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 28.4 points down at 17388.15, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 207.93 points at 58257.96 at around 11:11AM.

    JSW Steel(up 4.43%), Tata Steel(up 3.15%), Divis Laboratories(up 2.85%), Hindalco Industries(up 1.92%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.91%), Coal India(up 1.79%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 1.4%), Britannia Industries(up 1.35%), Tata Motors(up 1.31%) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 1.13%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

    On the other hand, IndusInd Bank(down 2.79%), Asian Paints(down 1.69%), Infosys(down 1.33%), Reliance Industries(down 1.2%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 1.09%), ICICI Bank(down 0.94%), Shree Cement(down 0.78%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.61%), Bajaj Auto(down 0.59%) and Hindustan Unilever(down 0.44%) were trading in the red.
